Endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) are increasingly prevalent in modern environments and are being evaluated for their potential role in metabolic, immune, and neuroendocrine function. This educational webinar reviews current scientific perspectives on exposure pathways, potential biological effects, and the relevance of EDCs in clinical practice. Attendees will explore how these compounds may interact with key physiological systems and how to translate this knowledge into patient-friendly education. The session also highlights the role of foundational processes—such as digestion, nutrient breakdown, and enzyme activity—in maintaining overall physiological balance. Practical, compliant strategies will be shared to support patients in reducing exposure while optimizing lifestyle factors that influence these systems. Content is presented within FDA/FTC guidance, focusing on education and wellness support—not diagnosis or treatment.

OBJECTIVES
By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Identify common sources of endocrine-disrupting chemicals in daily life
- Understand how these compounds may interact with the body's hormone and regulatory systems
- Recognize potential connections between environmental exposures and shifts in energy, mood, metabolism, and weight
- Describe how the body's natural detoxification systems function (including liver, digestive, and elimination pathways)
- Explain the role of digestion, nutrient breakdown, and enzyme activity in supporting overall physiological balance
- Identify lifestyle and environmental strategies that may help reduce everyday exposure to unwanted chemicals
- Apply nutrition and foundational wellness approaches, including dietary patterns and enzyme therapy, to help maintain efficiency in the natural body processes
- Understand how supporting digestive and systemic function may contribute to overall resilience in a high-exposure environment
- Make informed, balanced decisions around lifestyle, environment, and foundational health support strategies

His passion for soccer put him through college at Texas Lutheran University and he is very sought after in the soccer community for rehabilitation and nutritional counseling. Dr. Bastidas is also an expert in the use of laboratory analysis and enzyme nutrition as part of a functional and natural approach to well-being. As a lead researcher in Transformation's research and development team, Dr. Bastidas has co-directed multiple clinical studies examining the benefits of enzyme supplementation on systemic inflammation, gastrointestinal dysfunction, and a recent study about the effects of enzyme therapy on detoxification of endocrine disrupting compounds. He is also involved in developing specific treatment protocols depending on the biochemical individuality of the patient. Dr. Bastidas resides in Houston, TX, with his family, where he continues to advance the integration of laboratory analysis and enzyme therapy into comprehensive, functional wellness care.
