Before the Beginning
Nutrition and Lifestyle in the Preconception Period and Its Importance for Future Health
Amy Rawls, MS, RD, LD, FMNS, CGN
Health around the time of conception is now a focus of increasing interest as rates of infertility and childhood diseases continually rise. Many women of reproductive age are not prepared nutritionally for pregnancy. Not only is nutritional status neglected, the gut's influence on fertility and neonatal health is rarely addressed.
This webinar will explain why a healthy gut is crucial not only for digestion and nutrient absorption but also for maintaining hormonal balance and a robust immune system, all of which are integral to fertility and neonatal development. Learn how the human microbiome affects every stage and level of female reproduction, and how we can help set the stage for a healthier future.
