Using Genetic Testing to Navigate Pediatric Protocols
Mike Clark MBA, JD, PhD
Nutrigenomics is the study and branch of genetic research of how foods affect our genes and how, in return, genetic variations affect the way we react to nutrients in foods. If a gene is mutated, it has information dysfunction until this information is corrected by the proper nourishment. Doctors have begun to turn to nutrigenomic testing to understand the source of a variety of health issues and diseases, ranging from obesity to ADHD.
As children develop their lifelong eating habits early on, it's crucial to help children make the right nutritional choices as foods are introduced. Kids' nutritional needs are reprioritized as they grow. Certain nutrients become more important as children develop, and nutritional needs change as they become teenagers. Even the gender of your child can play a role. If a child is not receiving their necessary nutrients, it is likely certain foods and supplements will be recommended to fill in the gaps.
With nutrigenomic testing, providers can look into children’s genetic makeup, see which biological processes need nutritional support to function at an optimal level, and recommend foods and supplements with the genetic results provided. Nutrigenomics allows pediatricians to understand the genetic source of health and dietary issues and create a personalized and informed treatment.
In this webinar get an in-depth presentation from Dr. Mike Clark on how to apply genetics to treatments and improve outcomes. Mike will be explaining what role Epigenetics and Nutrigenomics play in treatment of patients, how can we use genetic testing to improve treatment outcomes, and how can we design better treatment protocols by identifying specific genetic mutations in the GI Panel and the Pro 7 Panel offered by GX Sciences.

Nutrigenomics is the study and branch of genetic research of how foods affect our genes and how, in return, genetic variations affect the way we react to nutrients in foods. By identifying our genetic mutations and the foods that affect their functioning, we can now offer Genetic-Guided Personalized Precision Medicine.
A primary area of interest is clinical identification of Genetic Mutations (SNPs) that explain a myriad of health conditions, from poor sleep, low energy, infertility, increased risk of cancer, heart disease, weight loss, Alzheimer’s disease, ADD/ADHD, diabetes, and many other chronic diseases. Nutrigenomics is the science that helps us identify clinically relevant and scientifically proven natural treatments to nourish our mutated genes for optimal genetic expression.
