Impact of Enzymes on Biofilm
Milton Bastidas, DC, CIHP
Do you have patients with infections that subside for a while but then reappear? Bacterial and fungal biofilms might be to blame. A biofilm is a grouping of microorganisms housed in a matrix made up of polysaccharides and proteins made up to protect the bacteria from being seen by the immune system. In a healthy GI tract, the biofilm contains beneficial bacteria that support digestion, nutrient exchange, and provide immunity functions. However, when the GI tract is unhealthy, the biofilm becomes the perfect host for pathogenic organisms that become resistant to antibiotic and aggressive antimicrobial treatments.
In this webinar Transformation's Director of Research Dr. Milton Bastidas explains how enzymes play a vital role in breaking through these resistant biofilms. We share our clinically trialed protocol and explain just how important enzymes are in removing biofilms from the body.
